“I never felt like I belonged there… I was responding to others’ values, but I couldn’t align with myself.”
That sentence captures the heart of Marta’s story.
After a successful career in Human Resources, motherhood, and a deep inner shift, Marta chose a different path. One that led her to coaching—not just as a profession, but as a way of living, working, and being.
We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Marta, a graduate of BeCoach Academy, to reflect on her transformation—from corporate HR professional to self-employed coach, consultant, and changemaker.
Saying No to the Box, and Yes to Herself
For Marta, the transition wasn’t just about a new job. It was about claiming her identity.
“I had covered various HR roles. But I never felt comfortable. I always had to align with something—company culture, management goals. I never felt I could fully align with myself.”
It was during her maternity leave that clarity began to form.
She didn’t want to return to a role that no longer fit. She wanted to create something aligned with who she had become. Coaching called to her—and she answered.
From Competition to Collaboration
One of Marta’s biggest mindset shifts came through her experience in the BeCoach Academy training.
“We grow up in a competitive society. But during the program, I realized—I don’t need to compete. I can learn from others. What I offer as Marta is unique, and that’s enough.”
This reframing allowed her to connect, collaborate, and build a professional support network. It’s also what helped her build a successful coaching business, even while raising her daughter and navigating life’s transitions.
More Than a Certificate: A Way of Being
“BeCoach Academy was not just a course. It was a transformation.”
Marta’s words echo what many of our alumni express. The training isn’t only about tools and techniques—it’s about personal growth.
“It changed how I see the world. It humbled me. It showed me I don’t have to have the answers. I can hold space for others to find their own.”
Through practice, feedback, and community, Marta experienced firsthand how coaching becomes part of who you are—not just what you do.
Building a Business, Her Way
Marta now works as a self-employed coach and consultant. She integrates coaching into her group programs, trainings, and HR advisory work with organizations. But it didn’t happen overnight.
“At first, I didn’t have a clear niche or business plan. I started verbalizing what I wanted to do—and opportunities began to appear. Collaboration made all the difference.”
She also highlights the role of coaching in how she approaches business:
“I see problems differently now. I listen deeply. I help people find their own solutions. Coaching enhances every role I take—trainer, consultant, facilitator.”
Her Message to Aspiring Coaches
If you’re thinking about becoming a coach, but doubt is holding you back, Marta offers this:
“Don’t wait until everything is figured out. You learn while doing. You already have so much more within you than you think.”
She reminds us that we don’t have to do it alone.
That community matters. That mindset matters.
And that the journey of becoming a coach is one of the most enriching things you can gift yourself.
