Games We Unknowingly Play – Coaching Practicum
March 2 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
In this Coaching Practicum* we will have a look into games we unknowingly play, use coaching to gain awareness around our own roles in some of those plays and explore our communication patterns.
The term “games” comes from Transactional Analysis by Eric Berne. Instead of communicating openly what we need in an interaction, we send sublime messages or manipulate actions. These ways of communicating are called “games”. The games deplete the energy of the players and damage relationships. Understanding that we take a role in a game can support us to choose a different way.
*Coaching practicum is a workshop where you learn and practice coaching in a friendly, open and trustable environment with the support of experienced coaches. It is the space where you get introduced to different coaching tools, techniques, and coaching competencies to enrich your coaching toolbox and gain more confidence when working with others. Whether with your coaching clients, or colleagues at work, your team members or friends, using different coaching techniques will increase the effectiveness and impact of your coaching, leadership, and communication.
