About BeCoach
BeCoach was founded in July 2018 by co-founders Elena Marsh and Işıl Uysal Calvelli. After successful international careers in both HR and project & product management, they found themselves looking for meaning and purpose. They met at a coaching club that Elena started in Munich in 2015, the pair began running workshops together. They ran their first introduction to the coaching workshop in May 2018 and that’s when the light bulb went off. Both Elena and Işıl loved training and coaching and they realised so many people were like themselves, expats looking for coach training in English that would fit around their working schedule. The first BeCoach training weekend took place in November 2018 and since then they haven’t looked back. Securing their ICF accreditation in 2019, they have now delivered more than 2940 hours of coaching training to 29 different nationalities.

We believe that coaching is not just a set of skills, it is not just a profession or an instrument for better people management, it is a lifestyle, an attitude, and a way of being.
To BE a coach means to support and encourage people to get an access to their limitless potential by turning off the noise of self-doubt and self-criticism with absolute trust in their ability to find their own answers, walk their own path, and to become the best they can become.
By being “a coach” an individual can influence, inspire and empower people around them to maximize their personal, professional and human potential. A trained coach is like a drop of water: when it touches the surface, it creates circles that grow outwards, activating and energizing water particles with every ripple and reaching out to the farthest shores.
Our logo represents the impact that coaching creates. By becoming a coach you contribute to your personal happiness, evolvement and fulfilment. Not only that, you create ripples by contributing to the happiness, evolvement and fulfilment of every individual you communicate with. Being a coach is a precious gift to give to yourself and others.

Our Learning Philosophy
We believe every individual has unlimited potential and resourcefulness, which they can activate and bring to the world, to their organisations, to their communities, to create a change and make a difference. Individual transformation creates waves and becomes the catalyst for collective transformation.
The first step is for the individual to gain awareness of who they are deep inside and the coach facilitates this transformation journey.
When you or your team join the BeCoach Academy, you will learn how to partner with individuals, clients, team members, to bring their awareness to who they truly are by deep listening, skilful questioning, effective communication and feedback.
You will support these individuals to gain awareness and take responsibility for their actions, decisions, and attitudes providing opportunities for learning. You will evoke awareness of their values, challenge limiting beliefs, and partner with them in creating empowering beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, actions that maximize their potential and resourcefulness.
With BeCoach Academy you will gain many learning experiences that will expose you to your own resourcefulness and the resourcefulness of others. By repeated practice, you will embrace the being of the coach.

Meet the trainers
Elena Marsh
CO-FOUNDER AND TRAINER
Elena Marsh is a Leadership Transformation Coach (PCC) with more than 10 years of coaching experience and professional certifications in Personal Performance Coaching, Corporate Executive Coaching and Evolutionary Coaching.
After a successful career in human resources and people development, working a range of positions from kindergarten teacher, to recruitment consultant, HR Director, and Regional HR Support Manager responsible for Eastern Europe, Elena found herself looking for deeper meaning and purpose. Elena moved to Munich, Germany in 2015 and started the Coaching Club, where she met Işıl.
Elena co-founded BeCoach Academy in 2018, where it is her mission to support, empower and inspire individuals, organisations and their leaders to live and work with meaning and purpose, revealing their full potential, in alignment with their core values. Seeing the transformative results of her work is Elena’s source of fulfillment and inspiration.
Elena is from a small town in Siberia, and has been living in Munich since 2015.
Işıl Uysal Calvelli
CO-FOUNDER AND TRAINER
Işıl Uysal Calvelli is a professional coach, the author of the book The Gift of Being Unfulfilled at Work, the host of Unique Careers, Unique Lives podcast, and the co-founder of BeCoach Academy.
Işıl coaches individuals and organizations to transform unfulfillment into meaning, motivation, and autonomy. She is also a coach trainer, helping people develop a coaching mindset through International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited coach training programmes so they can be the best help to others.
Işıl believes work to be the medium of human generosity and development and inquires the question “How can we prosper through our work?”. Her book The Gift of Being Unfulfilled at Work and her podcast Unique Careers, Unique Lives are products of this inquiry.
Prior to coaching, Işıl worked in multinational banking corporations as a senior manager in project management, product management, digitalization, and customer experience. She was always interested in bringing creative ideas to the service of people which she continues in her coaching work.
Işıl is Turkish, and currently lives in Munich, Germany with her Italian husband and two German cats.
